Comfort Walking Shoes

There are few things more important to me than comfort and comfort walking shoes is no different. Health is a big part of my life and most of us do realize that without it we don’t have much. So protecting and nurturing our health is essential. For me, walking is a big part of my health program and that means owning a pair of walking shoes that will be comfortable through an hour long walk.

People that wear walking shoes on a regular basis are usually partial to one brand or another. And unfortunately, it is difficult to determine just by trying on a pair of shoes how they are going to feel after a 3 mile walk. I have had shoes that felt fine through the first mile or 2 and by the time I got through the third mile, I was wishing I had worn a different pair of shoes. You can go on someone else’s experience, but that is no guarantee that the shoes are going to work for you.

I am the kind of person that tends to stick with what I know. I want to feel comfortable from day one and once I have the shoe that does that for me, that is what I will buy the next time. I have switched brands and it is often time small differences that take getting used to. While these differences are tolerable and can be gotten used to in a short amount of time, I am like the majority of other people in the world when it comes to change. Sometimes it is embraced, but most of the time we would rather not have it at all.

Finding a comfortable pair of womens walking shoes is not always easy. The only thing you can do is wear them and see how they feel after being worn for a while. Many times the discomfort will go away in a few days, but having to deal with it is no fun. The best recommendation I can make is when you find a brand that is comfortable, stick with it. It does not necessarily take the most expensive walking shoe in the world to give you what you need. The pair I wear usually retails for less than $75 and I would not trade them for any other brand, no matter what they promise.
